Ghast // Tech

Officially formed in 2014 by Chris Lacroix while heavily delving into Eurorack and hardware techno territory. Ghast // Tech's goal was to get away from the computer screen and connect with the hardware on a different level. Strictly experimental in nature and often abandoning the grid in favour of free-form dark drone and ambient textures. Ghast // Tech's sound can be described as foreboding, impending, and slow. Often choosing long-form single-take recording sessions over rehearsed or pre-planned ideas.

With Gate, Ghast // Tech delivers a release that feels less like a conventional album and more like an invitation to cross an invisible threshold. Released on Spheredelic this July, the album consists of four individual compositions, accompanied by a fifth piece that seamlessly merges all four into one continuous sonic journey.
