Jack Hertz & Lutz Thuns Journey Into The Inner Being - SD-129
Spheredelic wishes you a happy new year and presents you the great new ambient project "Journey Into The Inner Being" by Jack Hertz and Lutz Thuns. Jack Hertz has been producing immersive deep listening projects since the early 90s, while Lutz Thuns has been working with digital and virtual analog synthesizers since 2008. Thuns has already released "The Other Side" on Spheredelic in 2015.
Saint De L'Abime - Spereyed Spear - SD-128
This year in December there will be eerily beautiful music from “Saint De L’Abime”, who is a well-known face at Spheredelic. His third release on our label has it all: “Sphereyed Spear” is a 45-minute ambient record that is divided into two parts and spans a wide range of genres but manages to remain coherent.
The artist from Greece, who classifies his music as avant-garde, experimental and dark ambient with neoclassical and industrial influences, has hit the dark ambient nail on the head with this release as well.
Spheredelic Compilation 2 - Spheredelic Places - SDUSB-001
today we send you still-winter-greetings from the north of Germany. Without the right clothing in our beautiful Kiel is going nothing - we still wear caps and scarves - but the temperatures slowly climb back to a tolerable level. We for our part hope for an early and especially beautiful spring.
Idontlikethecircus! - Grathsyeh - SD-127
Spheredelic is back from a long hibernation with “Grahtsyeh” by “IdontLikeTheCircus!”. The experimental sound and art project has been around for 20 years now. The founder Matt has already released two previous works with us and this time he brings us a project which includes music by many different international artists.
EPiOS - Elefusika - SD-126
Our latest release is a re-release, so to speak. The LP "Elefusika" by EPIOS was already released in 2008 as a physical medium on CD. EPIOS is another project of label owner André R. Funkhauser and therefore he thought it was time to release "Elefusika" on Spheredelic.
Saint De L'Abime - Immortal Death Moral Money - SD-125
Another release on Spheredelic.com is ready, the 2nd release of the Greek project 'Saint De L'abime' on Spheredelic, which exists since 2009.
After the first release contained 3 tracks, this one consists of only one almost 30 minute epic track called "Immortal Death Moral Money" whose gloomy sound would have been perfect as a film score for every silent movie classic such as "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari", "Orlacs Hands", "Alraune" and of course "Nosferatu".
NonMiPiaceIlCirco! - TATHA GATE - SD-124
NonMiPiacellCirco!“ or „Idon’tLikeTheCircus!“ is a two person music project by Matteo Preabianca and Liang Siqi with an interesting interactive approach. They provide 14 tracks along with poems to be read out alongside the music on „Conditioned Production“, even encouraging people to record themselves and send it to them so they can create even more with these recordings.
Fake Plastic Heads and Johann Calderón - In Aeternum - SD-123
"In Aeternum" is the new ambient work by FPH and Johann Calderón. It is divided into two tracks of about 20 minutes each and inspired by the Zoroastrian religion, specifically by the so-called "towers of silence", also called Dachma. These towers are stone structures that protect the deceased from land predators, as the corpse should only be consumed by birds.
Mutinies - OUTLIKEALIGHT - SD-122
Engaging heat outside, tamed chaos on the ears. Just in time for the start of summer, Spheredelic delivers just the right soundtrack for heated summer nights: technoid synthpop dystopias that seem like the pop-cultural reference to times still long ahead.
DZETA - Sorcières - SD-121
Despite the approaching heat waves - or perhaps even because of them - Spheredelic provides you with a soundtrack for warm, hazy and dreamy spring evenings and nights in May. Sorcieres, the new EP by French ambient solo project DzEta, is an unpretentious yet very opulent symbiosis of electronically influenced rhythms and classic instrumental post-rock. Hazy atmospheric planes of electric guitar melodies flowing into each other in front of rhythmic electric monotony - this characterises Sorcieres and its musical magic (French sorcières = witches).
Colematics INF - The Legend of the Pakefield Weatch - SD-120
Spheredelic starts the month of April with less spring-like sounds: The Legend of the Pakefield Weatch is something for long, dark nights - and brings paranormal vibrations into your room. Colematics INF release on Spheredelic is a dark, mystical-occult noise soundscape EP that would be perfect for the soundtrack to an experimental arthouse horror film
Marcello23 - Zeitgeist - SD-119
Zeitgeist is Marcello23's second release on Spheredelic and takes you into multi-layered and yet always finely nuanced sound spaces that oscillate somewhere between chillout house, downtempo, ambient and IDM, but elaborate their very own musical language.
Usher San - Osiris Module - KHΛOMΛИ - SD-118
Tempus Fugit - time is fleeing. Just as the remaining time until the turn of the year seems to be coming to an end in leaps and bounds and eludes our grasp, so does the new release on Spheredelic presents itself: trance-like and dream-like unreal.
Quatrefoil - DEHORS - SD-117
Extremely distorted, synthetic soundscapes weave around the elegantly floating sound of an echoing electric guitar like glue dried into threads. Again and again, the organic resonance of the strings pervades the sticky, buzzing noise soundscapes, only to subside plaintively and drown in the digital flickering of the manipulated samples.
M.D.M.A. Feat. The Crippler & Petrolio - Back On Earth Gisas - SD116
M.D.M.A. originally started as a duo, but after 20 years of silence it was taken over by the guitarist and co-founder "The Crippler". He produced his new album "Back On Earth Gisas" together with "Petrolio", an industrial project by Enrico Cerrato.
Michael Keith - David Sait - Boketto - SD-115
Spheredelic brings you a feast for the ears again, because with us there is no summer
Multi-instrumentalist and philosopher Michael Keith and David Sait on the Guzheng enchant us with their new record "Boketto". The focus here is on the guzheng, a Chinese instrument with 21 strings, for which David even wrote his own vocabulary.
Christian Fiesel - Darkness Rising Over The Plains - SD-114
In December of last year he was able to convince us with "In The Garden Of Decay" and is now continuing his streak with "Darkness Rising Over The Plains". The great album cover was created by the 3D artist Andreas Schwietzke and captures the mood of the album wonderfully.
Yoko Absorbing - Realism - SD-113
"Yoko Absorbing" is an industrial project from Russia, created by Evgenij Kharitonov and Mikhail Lezin. On their new long player "Realism" you can hear a wide range of different genres and experimental sounds.
Bolduchin - Shellac - SD-112
Giacomo Triglia is an Italian music video director for Sony, Warner and Universal, among others. Recently he has also been publishing experimental ambient tapes under the name "Bolduchin". His debut is called "s / t", was released in April 2020 and is a studio album. "Shellac" however, his second release, now follows a year later, but this time it was recorded on analog tape.
Exthausiva - Road To Desert Trip - SD-111
Because with the summer warmth that Esteban Cavalieri or Exthausiva radiates on his new album "Road to desert trip", the snow masses simply cannot stay where they are. It creates anticipation for the next summer and nostalgia for past ones.
Raymond Cobley - Microdrone - SD-110
A new year, a new release. We hope you had a pleasant transition and have been able to implement your resolutions well so far. Raymond Cobley introduces 2021 in style with “Microdrone”: This combination of four different drone structures impresses with its minimalism and dynamic stereo effects.
Christian Fiesel - In The Garden Of Decay - SD-109
The grand finale of the Spheredelic year is brought to us by Christian Fiesel with his seventh release on the label: "In The Garden Of Decay". It is a real feast for ambient enthusiasts, because it will spoil you for over an hour with gloomy soundscapes, deep reverbs and melancholy walls of synthesizers.
MiragEarth - The Core SD-108
We're reporting back from the second lockdown in the hope that everyone out there is fine and that you haven't fallen victim to the Corona or Christmas stress yet. This time we have an old acquaintance with us who last stopped by in 2016 with his "Earthside" release. MiragEarth is back with his new EP "The Core".
